I walked into this Christian book shop to scan through the CDs... James Vasanthan's photo on one of the album covers caught my eye!! Out of curiosity wanted to check out the message he was trying to give out - I should say, till date it has been one of my favourite Christian albums, so simple and all the songs are very heartfelt; He also gives a glimpse of his relationship with Christ, his life and his testimony; from that day onwards I truly have become his fan. - The name of the album is "Iravin Amaithiyil Yesuvoodu".
Few weeks back, one of my mallu friend asked me, if I had watched "Subramaniapuram" movie. I said, "no". He remarked, it is one the interesting movies, which keeps you seated!! and in addition he asked me if I had watched "Kangal Irandal" song - I had come across this song somewhere, so I said yes - He said, this super hit song is from the same movie and that I should defintiely watch this movie.
Few days back, when I was very tired, I thought I'll just watch few scenes from the movie, just wanted to check the climax infact :-) I ended up watching the whole movie, then reviews abt the movie, the way the movie was made and so forth... Somewhere I thought I heard the name, James Vasanthan, so wanted to check again, was surprised to see that James Vasanthan had composed the music for the entire film and that Kangal Irandal's music was composed by him - wow that's a great achievement.
Now I just wanted to check his reaction after all this success... got to know that he had signed up for other movies and "Pasanga" had already been released. I could find a video of him, done during the audio release of "Pasanga", with Kamal Hasaan and others on stage - He started of saying, "Anbin devam yesu christuvin peraal..." - that was wonderful to hear. I just pray that he will stay focussed, deliver good work, be a blessing to the music industry and will be a light unto the world.
I could also come across one of his good works in youtube. Check it out, you surely will enjoy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na6s55a92Q8
