Moses saw an Egyptian beating up an Isrealite. Moses immediately took off to rescue & ended up killing the Egyptian. He thought, the Israelites would realise that he was there to help them out. Next day he saw 2 Israelites fighting with each other, he tried to pacify them. One of them replied, "Do you want to kill us, as you killed the Egyptian!". Suddenly Moses was a wanted man, he was a murderer! - he was on the run! He had to spend 40 yrs in a country not his own, where God met him in a burning bush & told him,"You shall deliver my people from the Egytians". God did that! God did use Moses to deliver the Israelites from the Egyptians even though he messed it all up, 40 yrs ago!
(Check out Exodus 2nd chapter for more about Moses! Hope u know, the book Exodus is part of the Bible. if u don`t have a bible pls chk out biblegateway.com to read/refer the bible online).
There are 2 lessons that I can see here -
1. Don`t take decisions in a hurry and end up messing up all!
2. Even though you mess up, God still loves you. He is able to still use us as a blessing! - just that we will have to spend some time in the training school of God in the wilderness [:D].
I could relate this to my current situation in my job, where I almost took a decision because of the way some people spoke to me - I wanted them to know that I wasn`t dependant on anybody & there were wonderful opportunities outside of them!
To call it quits, because you didn`t like the way some people rubbed against you, is so silly! When there are people like that around you, your flaws come to light - what an opportunity to shed some of the flaws found in you.
Remeber one thing - when you find the going tough; when you think you can tolerate this no more, when you know there is injustice done, don`t call it quits, don`t jump the gun, be patient, fight it out. May be you are the one who could bring the change to the system, which you hate so much.
